For those of you who missed previous announcements, Bethesda has chosen AMD as the exclusive partner for Starfield on PC. The company announced that the game will support FSR 2 upscaling technology at launch and will also benefit from specific multi-threading optimizations targeting AMD Ryzen processors.
The exclusive partnership with AMD has drawn mixed reactions, as Bethesda has so far only mentioned support for AMD’s FSR 2 upscaling technology. Support for NVIDIA DLSS and Intel XeSS has yet to be mentioned, but given that most sponsored AAA games included in AMD bundles don’t offer competing upscaling solutions, it likely will. the same here. When it comes to PC requirements, Starfield will drop HDD support and require an SSD for optimal gameplay. You will also need to have a powerful graphics card to play the game.
