Xavi could bet on a Spanish international to strengthen the offensive sector – Sport.fr
Given the price demanded by Manchester City, FC Barcelona would have changed their minds and would now target Dani Olmo as a possible replacement for Frenkie De Jong.
In the economic crisis, FC Barcelona peels all its possibilities in order to offer, to Xavi Hernandez, the best workforce imaginable. Pushed to the exit to give a real breath of fresh air to Catalan finances, Frenkie De Jong will have to be replaced in the event of departure. If Bernardo Silva was Barça’s top priority, the amount demanded by Manchester City would have showered the Blaugranas and their hopes. Disillusioned, they would now turn to Dani Olmo.
According to information from the Spanish press, relayed by Todo Files, FC Barcelona would have reactivated the track leading to Dani Olmo. Formed within the Masia, it would be a profile particularly appreciated by Joan Laporta and Xavi Hernandez. Landed at RB Leipzig since January 2020, the 24-year-old Spaniard remains a diamond to polish. It now remains to determine the requirements of the German training which had drawn 30 million euros to enlist it two years ago. His price, however, should be much more affordable than Manchester City’s demands for Bernardo Silva.
