Wydad do not want the referee appointed for the quarter-finals return
Wydad Casablanca does not want Omar Amin, the referee appointed by the African Football Confederation (Caf) for the quarter-final return of the Champions League which opposes it to CR Bélouizdad.
In a letter sent to the governing body of African football, the Moroccan club says it is against this choice, citing “the poor performance of the designated referee, during the second preliminary round of the CAF Champions League 2020-2022, against Stade Malien”.
Last Saturday, Walid Regragui’s men won (0-1) at Bélouizdad. The return match is scheduled for Saturday April 23 in Casablanca. Wydad are favorites.
