We told you about it in September 2020, the famous Hollywood actor Ryan Reynolds was about to become the owner of Wrexham, a Welsh club playing in the fifth English division (the National League).
And Ryan Reynolds is a happy owner of his investment so far. Last Saturday, his club qualified for the final of the FA Trophy, a cup reserved for clubs playing from the fifth to the eighth English division.
Not to miss
A victory gained in stoppage time against Stockport County (D5) thanks to a double from Paul Mullin (90 + 1st, 90 + 5th), a striker who played in the youth teams of Everton then… Liverpool.
Present at the stadium, Ryan Reynolds was obviously delighted by this success and the supporters (they were 8703 at the Racecourse Ground) chanted his name.
The FA Trophy final will be played on May 22, at Wembley and Wrexham will face Bromley FC, another resident of the fifth division. This will be the occasion for Ryan Reynolds to win his first trophy as owner of the club.
