Woj’s alarming declaration on Luka Doncic!
Still absent from the courts, the fault of a calf injury, Luka Doncic hopes to return as soon as possible to help his teammates. Every day counts, especially as the matches follow one another in the playoffs. Unfortunately, Adrian Wojnarowski’s latest update is not reassuring at all.
Still excellent this season, worthy of an MVP level, Luka Doncic was eager to return to the playoffs, with the firm intention of passing a first round. Problem, his injury in the last regular season game changed everything, thus compromising the chances of the roster. The logic was respected this Saturday evening against the Jazz of a historic Rudy Gobert.
For Doncic, present on the bench to support his teammates, we imagine that it was not easy to see. In addition, Utah was clearly not fully, with an uninspired Donovan Mitchell offensively. The shot could be rectified during Game 2 on Monday evening, which could already make it possible to break for Quin Snyder’s men.
Luka Doncic still absent, the Mavs in panic!
Barring a miracle, Luka will not be able to hold his place for this meeting. If the Slovenian is doing better and better, Adrian Wojnarowski has just cooled Dallas fans about the presence of the star. We have to believe that Jason Kidd will have to find a miracle solution to win in Game 2.
Luka Doncic is unlikely for Game 2 vs. Utah on Monday, sources tell @espn_macmahon and me. He hasn’t yet been ruled out, but would have to make dramatic improvement in the next 24 hours to be cleared to play with that left calf strain. https://t.co/G32VoqCnMY

Luka Doncic is doubtful for Game 2 against Utah on Monday. It hasn’t been announced yet, but should make significant progress in the next 24 hours to be cleared to play.
Cruel for Luka, especially since we know that the Mavs will not want to play with his health. We have to believe that Dallas will mainly have to rely on Spencer Dinwiddie and company. Nevertheless, Kidd maintains hope, since his player is doing better and better:
Jason Kidd after Luka Doncic did light shooting for the second straight day: « Yesterday was another good day, and today he’s back on the court, so that’s a plus. And we’ll see how he feels tomorrow. »

Jason Kidd on Luka Doncic after some shots for the second day in a row: “Yesterday was another good day, and today he was back on the court, so that’s a plus. We’ll see how it goes tomorrow. »
Luka Doncic out of Game 2? Barring a miracle on Monday, that will be the case. The Mavs will want to be careful in this case, even if it means losing this new match. We will have to be patient with the supporters, just like the player.
