« Through our representative office, we are present in the architecture sector by offering several ranges of high-performance products intended for permanent or temporary installations for cultural and sporting events.explains Thomas Bonneville, product manager at Serge Ferrari. Our solutions meet longevity criteria for acoustic and thermal comfort as well as fire regulations. Our presence at the Beijing Olympics completes the recognition of our composite materials in demanding applications such as extreme temperatures and in terms of lightness with a controlled carbon footprint. This opens up future opportunities for us. »

Already present at previous Olympic Games (London 2012 and Japan 2020), the Isère group was responsible for various installations for Beijing 2022. The ceiling of the Beijing speed skating rink was equipped with a membrane, a composite material equipped with acoustic and thermal properties aimed at maintaining the insulation of the building. Another equipped structure: the international press center requiring an innovative incombustible material. Technical textiles were also used for the gliding centre, with a windbreak function. A protective envelope against climatic and light constraints to facilitate the broadcasts of the events.

“In addition to temporary elements such as reception or storage areas, permanent equipment represents more than 30,000 m2 of products installed. Good visibility for the group, which is aiming for a turnover of €310 million in 2022 (€285 million in 2021).
