Will Power wins the Detroit Grand Prix in IndyCar

Australian Will Power (Penske) beat American Alexander Rossi (Andretti) by one second to win the Detroit Grand Prix on Sunday in the 7th round of the IndyCar world championship. New Zealander Scott Dixon (Chip Ganassi) completed the podium. Simon Pagenaud and Romain Grosjean, the two Frenchmen entered, finished 9th and 17th respectively.

Starting from 16th position, Power multiplied the overtaking before resisting the pressure imposed by Rossi to win.  » I made my way through traffic and had to fight “, he reacted after the race. Thanks to this success, he took the lead in the drivers’ standings with 255 points, three more than Sweden’s Marcus Ericsson, recent winner of the Indianapolis 500 Miles.
