Will Power obtained the 68th pole position of his IndyCar career on Saturday at Laguna Seca (California), thus beating the record of American Mario Andretti, a motorsport legend.

He is currently leading the general classification, while Laguna Seca is the last race of the season. But four drivers can still beat him: Josef Newgarden, Scott Dixon, Marcus Ericsson and Scott McLaughlin.
Former Formula 1 world champion (in 1978), Mario Andretti, now 82, was present on the California circuit to congratulate his successor. He held the record for pole positions since 1985.
