Another weekend to forget for Romain Grosjean. In a season where he has had a lot of bad luck, the Andretti driver has never been on the pace to get a good result. Starting 15th, he finished 19th, after receiving a penalty during the race. It’s not better on the side of Simon Pagenaud. 19th on the starting grid, the Frenchman saw his gearbox fail him. He backtracked.

The race was going well, but we had a problem with the gearbox. Unfortunately I had to stop, but the team did a great job fixing the car and we were able to finish the race. We did some good laps, the information of which will be useful for next year. But the good news is that next weekend we are racing on the Laguna Seca circuit, one of my favorites.

Finally, it was Scott McLaughlin who won the Portland Grand Prix. He is ahead of Will Power and Scott Dixon. Thanks to this result, Scott McLaughlin offers himself a chance to claim the world crown in the last race.

They are 5 pilots to still be able to hope to triumph. With 523 points, Will Power is the favorite ahead of Josef Newgarden and Scott Dixon, both at 503 points. Further on, Marcus Ericsson with 484 points and Scott McLaughlin with 482 points are still in the race. On the French side, Romain Grosjean is in 13th place in the standings, Simon Pagenaud is 14th.

The last round of the championship will take place this weekend, on the Laguna Seca circuit.
