What Ligue 1 clubs have sold more than mid-transfer window

It’s been a month and a half that the summer transfer window has opened its doors. Like every summer, some of the best players leave Ligue 1 for abroad, while others change clubs but stay in France. At this advanced stage of the transfer marketseveral players, through their sales, have allowed their training to bail out, after a financially complicated 2021-2022 financial year.
€280 million in sales, half of which for AS Monaco and LOSC
Cumulatively, the 20 Ligue 1 clubs sold for 280.7 million euros in transfer compensation. More than half (€144m) for two clubs: AS Monaco and LOSC. The first owes a lot to the sole sale of Aurélien Tchouaméni, recruited 80 million euros by Real Madrid. He is the most expensive player in La Liga this transfer window and the second biggest sale in the history of ASM, behind Kylian Mbappé. As for the Mastiffs, they made the second best sale of this transfer window in Ligue 1, with the transfer of Sven Botman to Newcastle, for 37 million euros.
OM and PSG struggle to downsize their workforce
If two clubs account for half of all sales, it means that others are selling less, or not at all. More than halfway through the transfer window, six teams have not made any revenue related to the sale of players. And some find it difficult to sell players, although they need them. This is the case for the two biggest spenders in this first half of the transfer window, what are PSG and OM. The first to stick to the rules of financial fair play, the other to first satisfy the DNCG, the needs are the same to bring in cash. They have a little over a month left, until August 31, to both release salaries and generate income on departures.
