First player selected in the most recent National Hockey League draft and new member of the New York Rangers, Quebecer Alexis Lafrenière was awarded a score of 82 in the video game « NHL 21 » from EA Sports.
Few of the first-year players receive such a high rating from their debut on the Bettman Tour. The left winger from Saint-Eustache will be one of the cards that many fans of the game will likely use.
With 82, Lafrenière is still a long way from the top 50, unveiled this week by EA Sports, where the minimum score is 88. Edmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid is first, he who received a superb score of 95 .
However, the former Rimouski Oceanic is far ahead of the one chosen second in the 2020 auction. Drafted by the Los Angeles Kings, Quinton Byfield shows a score of « only » 77.
The game « NHL 21 » will be available to fans around the world on October 16th.
