Wayne Rooney coach in MLS

Three years after playing at DC United, Wayne Rooney returns to MLS. According to concordant media, the record holder of goals in England becomes coach of his former club in Washington.

Rooney was previously Derby County coach in his country. At the end of June, the former Manchester United striker had asked the club relegated to the 2nd division, in great financial difficulty, to terminate his contract.

At the end of his active career, Rooney played in 2018/19 for DC United, who are currently the team with the second-worst average points in the league, compiling 17 points from 17 appearances.
