Washington: Chase Young’s season could be over

A player who falls without being hit is rarely a good sign. And that’s unfortunately what happened to Chase Young this Sunday.

As his team led against the Buccaneers, the pass rusher collapsed as he tried to sack Tom Brady. According to ESPN, Washington already fears a tear in the anterior cruciate ligament in the knee for Young.

An injury which would obviously be synonymous with the end of the season and long less rehabilitation. Tests are due on Monday to confirm the diagnosis.

Young only managed 1.5 sacks in 2021, but his absence is bound to be a blow to a defense already well below expectations this year.
