Virgin Atlantic will be the next company to integrate SkyTeam. Its entry into the alliance will be effective from the beginning of 2023. SkyTeam will thus integrate its first British member. It will strengthen its weight in London Heathrow and Manchester, as well as in the important transatlantic market. Our membership will allow us to strengthen the relationships forged with our partners at Delta and Air France-KLM, while opening up possibilities for collaboration with new airlines. It will allow customers to have a seamless experience, with an extended network and maximized loyalty benefits. commented Shai Weiss, CEO of Virgin Atlantic. The integration of Virgin Atlantic is based on the successful experience of the transatlantic joint venture with Delta Air Lines and Air France-KLM. All three airlines operate out of Heathrow Terminal 3, where Aeromexico and China Eastern are also located, while codeshare agreements are already in place with the Mexican carrier and Middle East Airlines.
