Vieira among the nominees for the best coach trophy, but not Tuchel

The coaches of Manchester City and Liverpool, who are engaged in a fierce fight for the coronation in the league, are obviously among the five named, alongside Thomas Frank (Brentford), Eddie Howe (Newcastle) and Patrick Vieira (Crystal Palace) .

The French technician, who has been on the Eagles bench since last summer, is currently 11th in the championship. Three days from the end, his club already has as many points as last season, which ended in 14th place. Howe, who arrived in Newcastle in November, managed to maintain the Magpies, who nevertheless had to wait until the 15th day to achieve their first victory in the league. Tuchel and Arteta absent from the list

This list still contains some notable absences. Thomas Tuchel, 3rd in the championship with Chelsea, or Mikel Arteta, on his way to bringing Arsenal back to the top 4 for the first time since the 2015-2016 season, could have claimed this trophy.

This Friday, the English championship also unveiled the eight lucky winners who claim the title of best player of the season. If the inevitable Mohamed Salah and Kevin De Bruyne are present, the absence of Sadio Mané, and that of Cristiano Ronaldo to a lesser extent, challenges.
