VIDEO – Full speed ahead on the autobahn in a Ferrari F8 Tributo

The Ferrari F8 Tributo is no longer very young, but it’s always pleasant to see how well it performs. The proof during a short run on the German autobahn.

We all know that the Ferrari F8 Tributo is a very fast supercar. On paper anyway. But trying to prove top speed in real life is always a challenge. In Germany, it is even (still) legal thanks to the Autobahn and the portions without limitations. On these magical stretches of road, the driver of an F8 Tributo improved by Novitec reached 341 km/h, the official top speed of this beautiful Italian. The F8 Tributo is as fast as it is breathtaking. It even rivals the Teslas going from zero to 100 km/h in less than 3.0 seconds and up to 160 km/h 5.8. It can also atomize the quarter mile (400 meters from a standing start) in 10.5 seconds. Many factors such as wind, road surface and air temperature can affect performance.

And in this video, it’s the traffic that’s the problem. The driver does not find a good free stretch until 5:10. The driver was certainly prepared to do his run. A front-mounted GoPro and a GPS speed app on a phone were installed to check the exact speed.

The driver notes that while the F8 benefits from Novitec upgrades, the power is stock. Thus, the 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 still develops 720 horsepower. As a reminder, Novitec has also improved F8s so that they deliver 800 horsepower, allowing them to go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.6 seconds and reach a higher top speed. But as you can see from the video, it’s not really necessary.

The video shows the car reaching 300 km/h in just 20 seconds and its top speed in just 39 seconds before the driver has to ease off due to heavier traffic. It would even seem that there will be a little scare at some point… Enough to give food for thought to the German government which is tending towards the end of the zones without limitation.
