Victor Wembanyama is a real phenomenon. By the talent with the ball in hand, but also by its size. While the French giant was drafted in first position by the Spurs on Thursday June 22, the native of Chesnay leaves no one indifferent.

The 19-year-old player, welcomed like a star by fans of the NBA franchise, confided that he was 2.21m tall in September 2022. But recently, Guillaume Alquier, his physical trainer who followed him daily with the Metropolitans 92 of Boulogne-Levallois, had indicated that « Wemby » now reached 2.22 m. He therefore took another small centimeter before flying to the United States.

However, it is interesting to point out that Victor Wembanyama is « bigger » in the NBA since he is 2.25m tall. Quite disturbing, but the reason is simple since in the United States, players are measured… with their shoes. These 2 to 3 cm difference are therefore quite classic.

Note that Wemby is the second largest player drafted in recent seasons after the Chinese Yao Ming (2.29 m), number one in the Draft in 2002.
