Utah Jazz – 2022-23 NBA Season Schedule

It’s ready, it’s official: the 2022-23 NBA season schedule has finally fallen! With takeoff scheduled for Tuesday, October 18, 2022 and landing announced for April 10, 2023, the time has come to pack your bags and check your tickets. So we waste no time, and check the Utah Jazz’s 100% basketball program right away!

A red pen in one hand, the calendar of his favorite franchise in the other, and we take notes in his TrashTalk Diary!

After six consecutive seasons in the Playoffs under the Rudy Gobert era, the Jazz seem to have finally resolved to begin a massive reconstruction project which deprives it of any pretensions at the start of the 2022-23 financial year. Bottom line: Utah is not playing next year. And as depressing as it may be to find out about the franchise’s schedule for the upcoming campaign, there’s still some things to talk about, so let’s get to it. First of all, you will have to get used to it because it will become a habit: the Jazz will have only one poor game on national air this season, at home against New York. Looks like Mister Silver has a preferred destination for Donovan Mitchell. Moreover, only four meetings will be at French hours, again a fairly low total. Already that Salt Lake City was not very publicized when it won, we are afraid that the city will end up being completely forgotten in the next few years.

But if there’s one thing Utah fans should remember about this schedule, it’s that their first half of the season is closer to hell than basketball. Indeed, the Jazz will have to face a hell of a lot of big names, namely three times the Warriors, three times the Nuggets, three times the Clippers, three times the Pels, twice the Grizzlies, twice the Suns, twice the Lakers, twice the Wolves, the Mavericks etc… to name only the West. But above all, ESPECIALLY, no less than ten back-to-backs await Will Hardy’s men! Yes yes, ten in 41 meetings. It’s just huge, and we already have sore legs for the poor boys. So yes, the calendar will gradually improve to ultimately leave a quieter second half of the season in Utah, but that does not make you want to get to the recovery. Courage to the Mormons, you are going to need it.

# Longest road trip: 6 games from March 3 to March 13, and in real life he is quiet, billou that one.

# Longest home session: 6 matches from November 28 to December 9, there on the other hand the program laughs a little less…

# National broadcast matches (TNT + ESPN + ABC): 1, against New York, it would be funny if there was no transfer from Spida because we would have the most boring national match of the season.

# Number of games played back-to-back: 15, at the same time we suspected it a little bit there.

# Matches at schedule French for Jazz :

  • 01/16 in Minnesota (10 p.m.)
  • 02/04 in Brooklyn (9:30 p.m.)
  • 04/08 vs. Denver (9:30 p.m.)
  • 04/09 at the Lakers (9:30 p.m.)

# A few posters to remember: move on, there’s not much to see from the Utah side this season. We will obviously be impatiently awaiting the return of Rudy Gobert to Salt Lake City on December 9 and February 8, as well as a potential return of Donovan Mitchell on November 15 in the event of a transfer to New York. Otherwise, as much to tell you that seeing the Jazz being destroyed by the Nuggets as soon as the recovery on October 19 or torn by the Warriors-Suns-Bulls-Clippers sequence from November 25 to 30 does not delight us too much. We rather prefer to wait for the date of the 2023 Draft, where for once Utah will undoubtedly play a much more important role.
