Umbro strengthens its partnership with the African Football Confederation on the occasion of CAN 2022
Yesterday, the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations began with the victory of host country Cameroon in the opening match against Burkina Faso (2-1).
Supplier of the official competition ball since 2019, Umbro has strengthened its partnership with the African Football Confederation (CAF) with a new multi-year contract.
In addition to the official ball called “TOGHU” for this CAN, Umbro now dresses the referees, volunteers and staff of the African Cup of Nations.
“It is a proud moment for Umbro in Africa which demonstrates our commitment to the development of football on the continent at all levels, from grassroots to professional level. Our team’s intentions are clear; we are here to support African football in the long term ”, said Byron Mulholland, director of Umbro South Africa, in a statement.
The other sponsors of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations contested in 2022 in Cameroon are TotalEnergies, 1XBET, Continental, Orange, TikTok, Visa, Camair-Co, Invest in Cameroon and Kadji Beer.
