Ukraine’s Andrei Yarmolenko (West Ham) will miss the match at Liverpool

Andrei Yarmolenko will not travel to Liverpool this Saturday in the Premier League, the London club announced on Friday. According to David Moyes, the West Ham Ukrainian international striker is  » very touched «  by the situation in Ukraine.

«  He has trained but will not travel with ussaid the Hammers coach. I don’t think he’s really ready and we want to give him the opportunity to do everything he can for his family and his country. He is very affected by the situation. »

 » I feel helpless and not just as a football manager. We all feel like we can’t do anything except give him our full support. We keep asking him if there’s anything we can do », added Moyes.

West Ham is currently 5th in the Premier League, two points from 4th and last qualifying place for the next Champions League, but 15 points from Liverpool (2nd).
