The Belgian club suffered their first defeat tonight, during their trip to Cyprus to face Anorthosis Famagusta, on behalf of the 5th day. Flora Tallinn scored her first victory against Partizan Belgrade.

It was a special 5th day. The Gantoise offered its first setback while the poorly classified clubs Flora Tallinn and Anorthosis Famagusta have signed their first success in this group stage.
The Gantoise, despite its defeat, is qualified for the knockout stages of the Conference League. Anorthosis Famagusta against the Belgian club only needed to score one goal to savor his first success. The Cypriot goal was scored by Lazaros Christodouloupoulos in the 27th minute of play. Holder in the heart of a three-way defense, captain Michaël Ngadeu-Ngadjui was credited with a good copy, despite the setback.

This defeat has no impact on the classification of the Gantois who remain leaders of Group B with 10 points and they are sure to finish in this position. What gives them the qualification for the knockout stages. Partizan Belgrade is still in second place with 7 points. The Serbian club is no longer guaranteed to finish in second position, especially since the first victories of Flora Tallinn and Anorthosis Famagusta (5 points each) revive the competition for this second place behind the Ghent. The sixth and final day will therefore be at stake to determine which club will finish just behind La Gantoise.
