U17 Women’s World Preparation: Morocco plays Portugal in double confrontation


Morocco will play Portugal in a double confrontation for the preparations for the U17 Women’s World Cup. The Lioncelles de l’Atlas Cadettes are already gathering to be ready for this duel.

Scheduled from October 11 to 30, 2022, the various nations qualified for the U17 Women’s World Cup are preparing for the event. The objective is to be in top form before kick-off in India. This is the case of African countries which will participate in the intercontinental tournament like Morocco. The Lioncelles de l’Atlas U17 will play a double friendly confrontation with Portugal. The first duel will take place this Tuesday September 20 at 2 p.m. GMT and the second will be played on Thursday September 22, 2022 at 10 a.m. GMT in Portugal.

Morocco’s U17 women’s team is in Group A of the Women’s World Cup. She will have to raise her level, since she finds herself in the same group as India, the United States and Brazil. Morocco will also challenge the Brazilian team in first position on October 11 at Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar. Then, he will face India on the 14th, before playing the United States on the 17th of the same month, but at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Goa.

Apart from Morocco, the other African countries qualified for the U17 Women’s World Cup are between Nigeria (Group B) and Tanzania (Group D). The three nations are therefore expected to defend the image of African women’s football.
