BROSSARD – The general manager of the Club de hockey Canadien, Kent Hughes, announced Thursday that the team has agreed to the terms of a one-year, two-part contract with defender Nicolas Beaudin, as well as the terms of a two-year contract (2023-2024 to 2024-2025) with striker Lucas Condotta.

Beaudin played 42 AHL games in 2022-23 with the Laval Rocket and Rockford IceHogs, recording two goals and 24 assists. Acquired from the Chicago Blackhawks for forward Cam Hillis in October 2022, Beaudin was selected in the first round (27th overall) by the Blackhawks in the 2018 NHL Draft. appeared in 22 NHL games with Chicago since the start of his career, recording six points (two goals, four assists).

For his part, Condotta played 72 games with the Rocket in 2022-23, scoring 16 goals and 15 assists in his first full season in the American League. The 25-year-old forward also played the first game of his NHL career on April 13 against the Boston Bruins. He scored his first NHL goal in that game. Condotta joined the Canadiens organization on March 31, 2022, when he signed a contract as a free agent.
