Two circulars for sport or against EPS?
The BO of January 20 publishes two circulars on the « 30 minutes of daily physical activity » and the device « one school one club ». It is clearly specified that the 30 minutes come in addition to the 3 hours of PE per week. They must even take place on days when there is no PE. One wonders how these 30 minutes will be able to find a place in schools where the fundamentals are strongly encouraged to the point of overflowing the official timetables and where the 3 hours of PE are far from being respected. It is that the 30 minutes can take place without sportswear and in the schoolyard ‘in priority’ and that everyone (families, local clubs) can find a place there. This development, even if it is specified that it should not compete with the EPS, could well become the hiding place of an EPS which does not yet have the place that the instructions give it.The circular « one school one club » invites sports clubs in schools In this way it also contributes to the crisis of EPS in schools.
