Transfers: Skriniar to PSG, the track goes out

Milan Skriniar should not engage with PSG before this Thursday, 11 p.m., closing date of the summer market. After having made three offers, the last of which at €50m plus 10 in bonuses, to buy out the last year of the Slovak international defender’s contract and having suffered three refusals from the sports management of Inter Milan, PSG had opted for the channel presidential: Nasser al-Khelaïfi, the president of the French club, had come into direct contact with Steven Zhang, his Milanese counterpart.

PSG could return to the charge in January

It doesn’t seem to have paid off any further. Skriniar, on whom Inter relies heavily, is not expected to join the capital club this summer. In Paris, we have even fewer illusions that the transfer window in Italy stops at 8 p.m. (in the direction of arrivals) and if, in a second step, management had considered a fallback solution with a defender younger right axial, the prices demanded quickly cooled the enthusiasm.

Christophe Galtier should therefore not have the central defender he was hoping for. However, it is not excluded that PSG will return to the charge on the Skriniar file from January 1. The Slovak will then be free to commit where he wishes, without any compensation, for the 2023/2024 season.
