Transfers: Lausanne formalizes the arrival of Floran Douay

As announced by the Swiss press, Floran Douay will change address without leaving Lake Geneva. Lausanne has formalized the arrival of the French international striker from Genève-Servette (1.90 m, 25 years old), as part of an exchange of players, but not the one that was initially envisaged. He will therefore not be accompanied by his compatriot Tim Bozon but by the young Swiss Guillaume Maillard, the American Tyler Moy taking the opposite route.

The distance is short, but the change is significant for the young man from Sallanches (Haute-Savoie), who was under contract in Geneva until 2023. He did most of his training there and then played seven seasons with the pros, apart from a few one-off loans (Martigny, Ajoie, La Chaux-de-Fonds).

As such, Douay has a Swiss license, a valuable asset that allows him not to be counted in the quota of four foreigners per team.
