Transfers: free, Aïssa Mandi commits to Villarreal

Aïssa Mandi will play in the Champions League next season. The defender has indeed committed this Wednesday with Villarreal, winner of the Europa League against Manchester United three weeks ago today, May 26 (1-1, 11 – 10 in the tabs). At the end of his contract with Betis, he signed a four-year contract, until June 2025.

At 29, the Algerian international (62 caps) arrives at Villarreal after spending five seasons with the Sevillian club, joined in 2016 from Reims, his training club. Last season, Mandi made 28 appearances for Betis, scored three goals and provided an assist.
