The team gave up a foreign player spot in return in 2022.
This transaction could be a sign of other changes to come within the Montreal workforce. Some sources, including radio channel 98.5, have raised the possibility of defender Rudy Camacho’s return, saying talks with the Frenchman have resumed. His previous contract ended on December 31 and he had claimed on social media that he would not return to Montreal this year.
The Montreal team continues its training camp at the Olympic Stadium.
