Towards a Pagenaud-Castroneves duo in 2022!

Frenchman Simon Pagenaud, 2016 IndyCar champion and 2019 Indy 500 winner, will take on a new challenge in 2022 under the colors of Meyer Shank Racing (MSR) alongside another sports legend, Helio Castroneves.

By joining MSR, a young team whose arrival in the North American discipline dates back only to 2017, Pagenaud takes up a new challenge with the ambition to fight for the title. 2022 will also mark the the team’s first full-time campaign with two cars.

A racing animal!

Simon Pagenaud, 37, has a nice track record in IndyCar with 15 victories, 14 poles and 37 podiums since its debut in 2011. Among its greatest successes, let us of course quote the 2016 title and his highly publicized victory at the 500 Indianapolis Miles in 2019. In 2021, he finished third on the Brickyard. Beyond his success in single-seater, the Frenchman also shone in endurance, collecting several podiums in IMSA, in particular a second place in 24 Hours of Daytona 2017 and a third at Petit Le Mans 2020.
