Former Montreal Canadiens forward Tomas Tatar will continue his National League career in the Eastern Conference, having agreed to a two-year contract with the New Jersey Devils.

The 30-year-old athlete will pocket $4.5 million per season, the Devils organization has confirmed.
A second-round pick (60th overall) of the Detroit Red Wings in the 2009 draft, Tatar spent the majority of his career with the Michigan organization, before being traded to the Vegas Golden Knights during the 2017-2018 season. . He had been traded again during the summer of 2018, to the Canadian, in the transaction which also brought Nick Suzuki to the Belle Province, in return for Max Pacioretty.
During his three season stint with the Habs, the Slovak amassed 149 points in 198 games. However, he was left out more often than not during the recent CH playoff run, when the team lost in the final against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Since the start of his career, Tatar has collected 377 points in 625 games.
