Third defeat in four matches for the Blue. After their setback against Japan earlier this Sunday, the French women’s 3×3 basketball team lost again, for the third time in four matches, against China (20-13), in the group stage of the Olympic tournament, Sunday at the Aomi Urban Sports Park in Tokyo.
The Bleues had started the game very well: solid defensively, they got their hands on the start of the match thanks in particular to the two long-distance baskets from Mamignan Touré and Marie-Eve Paget, to lead 10-6. But the machine then stalled, with success that fled in the face of much more consistent Chinese. Overtaken, in total failure on long shots, the French cashed a terrible 11-2, from which they could not recover.
