Todd Boehly, the owner of Chelsea in the Premier League tried to buy OL
A leader of a big English championship tried to steal Olympique Lyonnais from the nose and beard of John Textor.
While the takeover of OL by Textor was scheduled for this Friday, Lyon supporters will have to wait a little longer. Indeed, Lyon announced in a press release that they still have to finalize some legal details but the Rhone club seems well promised to the American investor.
However, The Guardian reveals that a compatriot of John Textor would have tried to play a bad trick on him by also making an offer to Jean-Michel Aulas to acquire OL.
The owner of Chelsea, Todd Boehly, would indeed have submitted a takeover offer deemed too late by Aulas. The reason ? Tom Glick, Chelsea’s business director would also have liked to create a network of clubs by including Olympique Lyonnais in it. Too late, John Textor has already been promised OL.
