TJ Warren back, two years later

The months have been long, very long for TJ Warren. The winger has missed almost two years of competition, following a left foot injury, and 673 days have passed since his last game in the NBA, with Indiana, on December 29, 2020.

The wait is over because, if all goes well, he should play this Friday night against Toronto.

« I can’t wait for him to prove to the fans and to himself that he is a strong player, that he can help the team to win, especially to win the title. »commented Kyrie Irving for the New York Post.

The TJ Warren of recent seasons in Phoenix and especially the « bubble » with the Pacers was an excellent forward, capable of scoring 20 points per game, and he would obviously be valuable for the Nets. Except that after two years without playing, we won’t have to expect miracles immediately…

« We are aware that he will have to wait a few weeks or some time to come back, but we will support him », assures Kevin Durant. “But his presence alone will be enormous. I’m happy for him, he’s been away from the courts for a long time. I don’t want to put too much pressure on him, but I can’t wait to see him again. »
