Tirico, Patrick and Earnhardt return to NBC’s Indy 500 coverage

Diffey, Bell, Hinchcliffe will commentate the race from the cabin.
NBC Sports host Mike Tirico and studio analyst Danica Patrick will return to cover the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge for the fourth consecutive year. They will contribute to NBC’s broadcast of the 106th edition of « The Greatest Spectacle in Racing » before, during and after the race on Sunday, May 29 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The race day broadcast on NBC begins at 11 a.m. (ET).
Tirico is one of the most versatile voices in sports. Over the past year, he has provided primetime coverage of the Tokyo and Beijing Olympics, as well as NBC Sports coverage of Super Bowl LVI. In the fall, he will begin his first season as the play-by-play voice for NBC Sports’ Sunday Night Football. One of motorsports most popular personalities, Patrick is a former INDYCAR and NASCAR driver. In 2005, she became the first woman to lead laps and place in the top five at the Indianapolis 500.
Dale Earnhardt Jr, one of motor racing’s most popular personalities and NBC Sports motorsports analyst, will contribute coverage of the race alongside reporter Rutledge Wood. Earnhardt will join Tirico and Patrick on the Peacock Pit Box on pit road for segments during the race.
For the fourth consecutive year, Leigh Diffey, lead voice of NBC Sports’ INDYCAR play-by-play, and analyst Townsend Bell will be calling the race from the cabin, joined this year for the first time by former winner James Hinchcliffe. Indianapolis 500 pole position and fan favorite. Marty Snider, Kevin Lee, Dave Burns and Dillon Welch will be the pit reporters.
