A few hours before the end of the summer transfer window, La Berri confirmed this Thursday the departure of its best striker: Thomas Robinet, author of 18 goals last season in the red and blue jersey. For several days already, the absence of the Rhone native from Castelroussin training had obviously not gone unnoticed and the increasingly insistent rumors of the last few days which sent him to Nancy were confirmed by a press release from La Berrichonne Football indicating « The Castelroussin leaders have agreed with Ostend for a transfer. »
Nancy via Ostend
Indeed, it is to the Flemish club that Thomas Robinet is officially transferred but Ostend, also owner of ASNL, immediately lends the 26-year-old striker to the Lorraine club, direct competitor of La Berri currently 17th in National.
It’s obviously a thunderclap for La Berri even if reinforcements are likely to be expected. With this transfer, the Berry club indeed gives up its best gunner. Thomas Robinet finished last season well ahead of the Castelroussins scorer rankings with 18 achievements. He was even the 4th top scorer in National. However, Robinet had 2 years of contract left but the number 9 had notified the club of his desire to leave.
End of turbulent transfer window
After a very quiet summer with a changing workforce, the end of the Berrichon transfer window is therefore bubbling. Because the other star striker of La Berri Sirine Doucouré is also concerned by departure rumors. Arrivals, however, are also in the pipeline. In the wake of Robinet’s departure La Berri thus announced the arrival of Florian Bianchini, a young 21-year-old striker, eccentric midfielder loaned for a season by Amiens. Native of Reims, Florian started in the Paris region. Passed by the US Montreuilloise, Le Réveil Nogentais then the International Espoir Club de Château-Thierry, Florian finally joined the Amiens training center in 2016.
He then went through all the youth categories. and experienced the joys of the national team in France U19. But whatever the circumstances the young striker will not be qualified and therefore not on the field tomorrow evening from Puy-en-Velay where La Berri is moving for the 4th day of the national championship.
The summer transfer window ends tonight at 11 p.m.
