This new kind of sports car and competitor of the Porsche 911 Dakar was particularly awaited. It is finally revealed in its entirety and closes a chapter in the history of the bull brand.
After a long, wide and cross teasing campaign, Lamborghini lifts the veil on the Huracan Sterrato. The brand’s first all-terrain supercar is also the latest model to benefit from a 100% internal combustion engine.
If the design of the Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato was unveiled several days ago, the bull manufacturer had until now hidden its technical sheet. The presentation of the supercar at Art Basel in Miami is therefore an opportunity for us to learn more about this model.
Taller, wider and stronger
Who says off-road, says raised ground clearance. The Sterrato is indeed 44 mm higher compared to the Huracan Evo. The brand’s engineers have calibrated the Strada and Sport modes, and added a new Rally mode dedicated to off-road driving.
In addition to being a bit taller, the Huracan Sterrato is also wider. Indeed, the tracks have been widened by 30 mm at the front and 34 mm at the rear.. Of course, it has all-wheel drive as well as six-piston brakes at the front and four at the rear. They are housed behind 19-inch wheels fitted with Bridgestone Dueler AT002 tires specially developed for this model.
With a 5.2-liter V10 of 610 hp
The Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato is powered by the 5.2 liter V10 engine delivering a total power of 610 hp and 560 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The manufacturer from Sant’Agata Bolognese claims that its sports car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and reaching a top speed of 260 km/h.
On the look side, there are pronounced wheel arches as well as a scoop on the roof to bring breath to the engine. There is also an aluminum protection under the car to protect the mechanics. On the bonnet, Lamborghini has added LED lights so that the car illuminates the road well in the dark. Finally, in the passenger compartment, in addition to the exclusive Verde Sterrato Alcantra upholstery, the engineers have modified the instrumentation as well as the interface of the central screen. Off-road-oriented instruments make their appearance such as the inclinometer, the roll and pitch indicator, as well as the steering angle indicator.
Thanks to the Ad Personam program, the possibilities for personalization are almost limitless, says Lamborghini. 350 exterior colors and 65 interior colors are available. Thus, each customer will find what he is looking for. Unfortunately, production of the Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato is limited. Only 1499 copies will be produced, their production will begin in February 2023.
