This Friday, the draw for the matches of the preliminary phase of the Champions League and the Confederation Cup

The new African club football season begins next Friday with the draw for matches in the preliminary stages of the Champions League and the Confederation Cup. The event will take place at CAF headquarters in Cairo. Member Federations had until yesterday Tuesday August 10, 2021 to submit the names of their representatives.
According to a CAF press release on this subject, “ the 12 best-placed national associations in the CAF ranking are authorized to enter two clubs in the different competitions. These are South Africa, Algeria, Angola, DR Congo, Egypt, Guinea, Morocco, Nigeria, Sudan, Tanzania, Tunisia and Zambia ”.
As for the group phase, it will begin in February 2022, just after the Cameroon CAN scheduled for January of the same year.
