Thierry Henry will be Belgium’s head coach against the Netherlands on Sunday

Following the exclusion of Roberto Martinez Thursday evening in added time against Wales in the League of Nations (2-1), for not having returned the ball in first intention to a Welsh player, Thierry Henry, first assistant of the Spanish technician, will take on the role of head coach this Sunday (8:45 p.m.) for the last Nations League match against the Netherlands in Amsterdam.

As it has just confirmed to us, the Belgian Federation does not intend to appeal the decision of Mr. Ali Palabryik, the Turkish referee of the match on the 5th day, which automatically suspends Martinez, according to UEFA regulations. While the Spanish coach will be in the stands, Thierry Henry will be on the bench accompanied by two other assistants, Anthony Barry and Thomas Vermaelen, the former international defender who recently joined the staff.
