The XXL dubbing of Kevin Durant for a young star
Considered one of, if not the best player in the league for years, Kevin Durant is one of the players best placed to judge the talent of one of his peers. That’s what he did on Monday, when revealing his immense admiration for a rising NBA star!
While his return from the Covid protocol was eagerly awaited on the Brooklyn side, it paradoxically coincides with the franchise’s worst period this season. Never defeated twice in a row so far, the Nets have just chained three defeats since the resumption of Kevin Durant. A finding that obviously does not please the main interested party.
Kevin Durant captivated by Ja Morant
After the surprising loss conceded at home against the Clippers on Saturday, KD had tried to rally his troops with a big rant. This did not really bear fruit, since Steve Nash’s men again bowed on their land on Monday against the Grizzlies (104-118). But instead of raising the tone again at a press conference, the Slim Reaper preferred to praise his evening executioner: Ja Morant.
« He’s just controlling the games… He’s developed into a major scorer as well. He plays with great pace out there, plays with joy and enthusiasm, and you see him blossoming in front of our eyes. »

He really controls the games. He’s always been an efficient player capable of leading the way, but he’s also turned into a big scorer. He puts a lot of rhythm in his game, he plays with joy and enthusiasm, and we see him hatch before our eyes. Since college he hasn’t stopped improving, and as a basketball fan I can’t wait to see what he will become in the years to come.
Voted Player of the Week in the Western Conference, Morant continued his good momentum at Barclays Center, with a new recital offered. Author of 36 points (14/22 shooting), 6 rebounds and 8 assists, the young star from Memphis allowed his team to win a 5th success in a row. So it was well worth praise from a cador like Durant!
Ja Morant continues to impress with the Grizzlies, and has even just received full compliments from Kevin Durant. At this rate, the first All-Star Game selection that he so hopes for should soon arrive!
