The TFC cannot return to the score
Toronto FC were unable to complete the comeback and lost 2-1 to FC Cincinnati on Saturday at BMO Field.

The Queen City club suffered a second consecutive defeat, having scored at least one point in the four outings preceding the start of this ugly streak.
Against the formation of Ohio, the TFC reduced the gap to only one success in the 65th minute. Jesus Jimenez hit a volley ball that gave goalkeeper Roman Celentano no chance. It was the forward’s seventh goal of 2022 and his fourth in three games.
The « Reds » players did try to tie the game afterwards, but the Cincinnati defense did the job.
The winners had scored their goals in the 44th and 52nd minutes. Ian Murphy, left-footed, and Luciano Acosta, with a low shot, were the authors of these successes.
Austin wins the Battle of Texas
At PNC Stadium, Austin FC secured their fourth straight Major League Soccer win by beating Houston Dynamo 2-1.
It’s the sixth straight game without a loss on the Garber Tour for coach Josh Wolff’s squad.
Dani Pereira scored the first goal for the winners in the 39th minute, which allowed his club to tie the score. The midfielder skilfully picked up a cross to thread the needle.
It was Sebastian Driussi who hit the mark to give Austin FC a win. In the 66th, the Argentinian made some space with a hook in the penalty area and thwarted the opposing goalkeeper with a nice shot from the right.
Dynamo opened the scoring in the fifth minute. Sebastian Ferreira benefited from a hazardous exit from Brad Stuver to thwart him from the line of the center of the field. The Austin FC keeper concluded his clash with five saves.
Video Review Helps Real Salt Lake
At Rio Tinto Stadium, the video review played to the advantage of Real Salt Lake, who took advantage of a disallowed goal at the Los Angeles Galaxy to win 1-0.
Thanks to the video, the referee was able to determine that Dejan Joveljic handled the ball with his hand before scoring, in stoppage time.
This means that Marcelo Silva remained the only scorer of the match, he who redirected a corner kick from Pablo Ruiz with a header in the 49th minute.
