The German manufacturer unveils the details of the range of its new 100% electric station wagon: the Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo.
Launched in 2019, the Porsche Taycan is the brand’s first 100% electric model, which now outsells the famous 911. Last year, the adventurous Taycan Cross Turismo station wagon made its appearance in the range, followed this year by the Taycan Sport Turismo: a more civilized estate version.
Unveiled a few weeks ago, at the same time as the GTS version, the Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo offers all the practical aspects of the Taycan Cross Turismo, without the black plastic protections of this one. There is a more generous roof guard of 45 mm at the rear, but also a load volume of up to 1,212 liters once the rear seat is folded down. The Taycan Sport Turismo also features a power-dimming panoramic glass roof, the nine sections of which can be individually controlled.
Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo: five versions in the catalog
The range of the Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo is identical to the sedan. There are therefore five versions:
- the Taycan Sport Turismo (rear-wheel drive): 408 horsepower (79.2 kWh battery) to 476 horsepower (93.4 kWh battery)
- the “4S” (all-wheel drive): 530 horsepower (79.2 kWh battery) to 571 horsepower (93.4 kWh battery)
- the “GTS” (all-wheel drive): 598 horsepower (93.4 kWh battery)
- the “Turbo” (all-wheel drive): 680 horsepower (93.4 kWh battery)
- the “Turbo S” (all-wheel drive): 761 horsepower (93.4 kWh battery)
In terms of lap times, the Turbo S is the most efficient, with a 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds for a maximum speed of 260 km/h, while the 4S is the one with the best autonomy: up to 498km WLTP, with the 93.4 kWh « Performance Plus » battery. Porsche promises fast battery charging, with approximately 22 minutes to go from 5 to 80% capacity, or only 5 minutes to recover 100 km of autonomy.
The first model to be marketed at the end of February 2022 will be the Taycan GTS Sport Turismo, followed from March 2022 by the other finishes. Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo pricing begins from 89,324 euro.
