Happy birthday
Anton Hellberg turns a corner this Wednesday. Guardian of Grand Nancy Métropole Handball since last summer, the Swede celebrates his 30th birthday. As we say in Sweden, Ha den äran Anton!
It happened on May 25
Back in 2015. Seventh in the regular season, SLUC Nancy was not the favorite in the quarter-finals of the play-offs before facing a team from Nanterre who finished second. And yet… After having created the surprise by going to win at Nanterre (84-76), Nancy « finishes » the job in a burning Gentilly. Final score? 82-68 for the Nancy with notably 20 points and 8 assists for the US leader Keydren Clark, former player of… Nanterre. SLUC qualified for their eighth semi-final in eleven years. Impressive continuity…

The Meuse cup is updated this week with the last two quarter-finals. While Sorcy-Void Vacon (R2) and Etain Buzy (R2) have already punched their ticket for the last four in recent weeks, Center Ornain (R3) receives Béhonne Longeville (D1) this Wednesday (7:15 p.m.) in Tronville -in-Barrois.
The last quarter-final will pit Tréveray (D1) against Entente Maizey-Lacroix (D1) this Thursday (3 p.m.).
