The Rocket match postponed
The Laval Rocket, the Montreal Canadiens’ school club, was able to take advantage of the holiday break a little earlier than expected: Saturday night’s game against the Crunch, in Syracuse, was postponed due to cases of COVID-19 at the opposing club.
« The American Hockey League has announced that the game scheduled for tonight (Saturday) between the Laval Rocket and the Syracuse Crunch will be postponed due to the COVID protocol that affects the Crunch », we informed , in a note sent to the media.
The Rocket will therefore play its next game, again against the Crunch, on Wednesday, December 29 at Place Bell, after the Christmas break.
« Our team continues to protect itself by respecting the rules in force put in place by the AHL and the government, » added the Rocket organization.
The December 29 game is expected to be the first in a series of five at home. Meetings are also scheduled in Laval on January 5, 7, 8 and 12.
In 24 games so far this season, the Rocket has maintained a 12-10-2 record. With 26 points in the standings, the Laval team is third in the North section, behind the powerful Utica Comets (18-1-2) and the Rochester Americans (13-8-0).
