Forward Max Kaufman signed a one-year, two-part contract with the Laval Rocket on Wednesday, but he will join the Trois-Rivières Lions, a team affiliated with the Montreal Canadiens in the ECHL.
The 25-year-old skater was never drafted into the National League and ended his stint with Boston University this year.
In 2021-22, he had six goals and five assists for 11 points in 34 games. Kaufman had also amassed eight points in 15 outings with this formation the previous season.
In addition, the Rocket also sold forward Shawn St-Amant to the Lions. The Trois-Rivières team had an appointment with the Worcester Railers at the Colisée Vidéotron in the evening.
