Lamborghini Urus: a more efficient twin-turbo V8 engine
Small flat, the vehicle used at Pikes Peak is not a production Lamborghini Urus : it is equipped with a roll bar, the cockpit has been emptied to accommodate a racing seat with a six-point harness, while a fire extinguishing system has been installed.
The 285/40 R22 and 325/35 R22 tyres, are an evolution of the Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tire of the Urus as standard: they are semi slick tires which provide more grip. Under the hood, there is a twin-turbo V8 engine : according to rumors, this one should develop up to 700 horsepower on the version Efficient of the Urus, which is about to be unveiled.
Lamborghini has chosen Pikes Peak to be the first mountain its new updated Urus conquers, setting a spectacular production SUV record of 10:32.064, a full 17 seconds quicker than Bentley’s record in 2018!
