Porsche successfully completes testing of its 963 LMDh at Daytona and feels ready for the first race on January 28-29, 2023.
The Porsche 963 LMDh covered a total of 2,274 km, or approximately 174 laps of the 24 Hours of Le Mans circuit. The conditions weren’t exactly favourable, but it allowed the team to get in working order, even in the less obvious conditions. An excellent exercise according to the Penske Motorsport team. Remember that the 963 is powered by a 4.6-litre twin-turbo hybrid V8 borrowed from the 918 Spyder which develops the maximum power authorized by LMDh regulations, i.e. 680 horsepower. While waiting to see it at work in the race, here are some images of these test sessions at Daytona.
