The Phillies could acquire an important player

The Philadelphia Phillies are already in recruiting mode for next season and they want to make a big splash by snapping up star shortstop Trea Turner for 2023.

Fresh out of the World Series, which they lost in six games against the Houston Astros, the Phillies are going there with ardor to try to improve their team. According to the MLB Network, the formation would be favorite to obtain Turner. The 29-year-old is familiar with the National League East, having spent seven seasons with the Washington Nationals.

Author of a remarkable 2022 season with the Los Angeles Dodgers, he hit 21 home runs and drove in 101 points, while stealing 27 bases in 160 games. It will cost at least $30 million per season. Bryson Stott was tipped to go to shortstop next season, but if the deal goes through, he’ll play at second base due to free agent Jean Segura’s potential departure in 2023.
