The p. DFO summary. 203 – A crawl to the finish line in the West
It’s been a crazy weekend around the NHL as the playoff races continue to heat up. We had several 7+ outings from different teams in the league and some of the teams that fell victim to those offensive outbursts were teams that were in the mix. Frank and Jason opened the show by talking about the slippery Penguins, who are barely hanging on in the Eastern Conference with the Florida Panthers in hiding. Will they hold?
If they are missing, could Ron Hextall pay the price with his work? It could happen and Frank also talked about an interesting story in Toronto that ties into a possible GM change in Pittsburgh.
From there they headed west where it seems no one wants to grab the playoff race. The Jets, Predators and Flames all continue to play very average hockey and that has led to the wildcard race remaining wide open.
They also hit McDavid’s run to 150 points before bringing in Tyler for another edition of Fill in the Blank presented by Pointsbet Canada where he quizzed the guys on the next class of free agent in the NHL.
