The NHL postpones the resumption of the regular season by one day


The National Hockey League’s regular season will not resume until Tuesday, Dec. 28, the league announced Friday.

The league had planned to resume activities on December 27, but the 14 games that were scheduled for Monday have been postponed to a later date, to give the NHL a chance to properly analyze the results of COVID tests. -19, and to properly assess whether the teams are ready to return to action.

Teams will return to practice on Dec. 26, and the league is expected to provide an update on its resumption of play plan by the end of the day on Sunday.
