The NHL.com reveals its Top-5 hopes of the Canadian

If there’s anything you can’t blame Marc Bergevin during his last years in charge of the Canadiens, it was his accumulation of draft picks in order to replenish the bank of hopes of the team.

Today, more than ever, the future looks rosy in Montreal as many talented young players are knocking on the door of the NHL.

The LNH.com also published earlier in the day its Top-5 of the best prospects of the team with the potential moment of arrival of each of them with the big club.

Here is their list.

  • 1. Juraj Slafkovsky – GA – 1st overall 2022 (Arrival: This season)
  • 2. Kaiden Guhlé – DG – 16th overall 2020 (Arrival: This season)
  • 3. Justin Barron – DD – 25th overall 2020 (Arrival: This season)
  • 4. Sean Farrel – GA – 124th overall 2020 (Arrival: 2023-24)
  • 5. Jordan Harris – DG – 71st overall 2018 (Arrival: This season)

Needless to say Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton will potentially be able to add a high-quality prospect to that roster, maybe even a generational player with any luck, in the next annual draft.

Do you agree with this ranking?
